TSD AND THE COMMUNITY
For 13 years Ellen Allen, TSD’s Chief Financial Officer, has been volunteering her time and her truck for Kentucky Harvest, a Bluegrass institution dedicated to moving food from those that give it to those that need it.
Ellen’s involvement began as one of the volunteers picking up donated food from local bakeries, groceries and restaurants and delivering it to the kitchens of many charitable agencies for preparation and distribution to those in need. Today, after 9 years as Lexington chairman, you will still find Ellen serving the community.
Kentucky Harvest raises and distributes across the Commonwealth of Kentucky millions of pounds of food every year with a mostly volunteer network.
