Marshall Kaufman is the Vice President of TSD.  For the past 29 years, he has provided key leaders and other stakeholders with core concepts, strategies and tools for guiding their personal and organizational change initiatives.

Dr. Kaufman works with boards, partners, executives, managers, professional staff, and other individual contributors, in creating strategically linked initiatives that respond to organizational needs.  These initiatives include: developing strong credible leadership; building successful teams; implementing lean production systems and re-defining leadership structure and their roles and accountabilities; developing shared visions, missions, and values; managing diversity; reengineering work redesign; and conflict resolution.

In addition to his work with TSD, for the past six years he has worked extensively with the United Nations, providing advice and guidance as part of the Secretary General’s reform. Also, he has provided training and mentoring, as part of Harvard University’s program to improve physician’s capability to lead hospitals and large medical practices.

He has provided service to business, industry, government, health care, legal, finance, and non-profit organizations. Dr. Kaufman has consulted with General Motors, Ford, AT&T, US Navy, Peralta Colleges, Allied Signal, Delphi, The Wilderness Society, Bechtel, US Forest Service, Columbia Gas Transmission, State of Georgia, Junior Achievement, US Postal Service, Brigham and Women's Hospital / Harvard Medical School, Microsoft, Charles Schwab as well as numerous small businesses and professional practices.

Dr. Kaufman began his consulting career as an Organization Development Specialist for Kaiser Permanente in Oakland, California.  Also, he was an Organization Development & Training Specialist and HR Administrator for TRW and the Organization Development Specialist and Director of Staff Development and Training for Alta Bates Health Care.  He also served as Corporate Manager for HR Development for Ingersoll-Rand/Schlage. For several years, Dr. Kaufman stepped away from internal organizational consulting to take the role of Educator and Research Director for the prestigious American Institute for Managing Diversity at Morehouse College.

His Doctorate is in Design and Administration of Human Systems from The University of Massachusetts.
